Xmas orders bring labour shortages in China export hubs

BEIJING, Oct 1 ?After a crisis that sparked mass layoffs in China's export hubs, factories in manufacturing heartlands such as the Pearl River Delta are on the hunt for migrant workers again as orders revive for Christmas.

In recent visits to three Pearl River Delta towns, a fragmented though consistent picture of labour shortages has emerged, with big job recruitment centres such as CHTONE in Changan experiencing a surge in activity.

"We're seeing more of that now," said Zhang Mingming, a bespectacled young manager at the job centre where a large red banner over the main entrance advertised 400 new jobs at an electronics factory.

Fiber Optic Network Technology Using Dense Wave Division Multiplexing

Businesses depend upon their networks as Best Broadband Deal lifeblood of day-to-day operations. Bottlenecks in data communication mean lost time and lost time translates pc tech support a loss in revenue. It is essential for companies to stay up to date with the best technologies that keep the Online Tutorial performing at an optimum level.

Information sharing has permeated society at every level, simultaneously straining the backbones on which the global network was built. Understanding the latest innovations is key for any business looking to accelerate past the competition.

The explosive growth of voice and data transmission flowing over the Internet Protocol (IP) has been largely responsible for straining back-haul network bandwidth. Some ISPs are reporting that bandwidth demand on their backbone connections is doubling approximately every 8 to 14 months in response to ever-increasing Internet traffic.

The Internet backbone must further deal with the increasingly complex makeup of the traffic itself. Multiple data protocols must be transmitted, including circuit-based communications such as fax or TDM voice, IP packets or even packet-switching protocols and frame relay.

Faced with these concerns, Internet carriers traditionally were forced to lay additional fiber optic cabling to accommodate additional demand for bandwidth. However, at a minimum starting cost of $70,000 USD per mile, the associated costs are prohibitive in most situations except for the highest-level backbone connections.

Need always leads to innovation. The development of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a key innovation that allows for more bandwidth without installing additional, cost-prohibitive cabling. The concept is easy to understand: Increase the number of wavelengths that can be transmitted on a fiber. Fiber optic cabling uses lasers for transmission through the glass medium.

Previously, these transmissions were carried out at a single frequency. By simultaneously transmitting data at different frequencies or different light colors, the signal is multiplexed. This action effectively increases fiber optic cable capacity by a factor between 16 and 32.

Since the introduction of fiber optic cabling, SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) has been the standard communication protocol in North America. SONET works by taking network signals and multiplexing them into a single wavelength to be transmitted over fiber. Counting on a single light wave to carry all the data drastically limits the capacity of the protocol.

SONET transports TDM data over the optical medium. Further inefficiency is created by current TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) technology. TDM was initially developed by phone companies to maximize the amount of voice data that can be transmitted over a medium.

TDM works by increasing capacity of the backbone link by collecting bits of raw data from multiple sources and multiplexing them at the higher transmission rate. TDM reserves time slots in the process to transmit the multiple sources in round-robin order. However, the proliferation of other data formats not based on circuits such as IP and cell-based transmissions forces TDM to deal with formats for which it was not designed. For example, Ethernet transmissions over SONET result in wasted bandwidth of up to 80% in a 10 Base-T connection.

TDM was never designed to handle anything other than voice data. Where SONET relies on TDM to transmit data for which it was not designed, drastic deficiencies occur.

Here are some key benefits of DWDM technology over SONET:

?Transparency - Operating at the primary layer of network architecture with raw data bits and streams, DWDM is able to support TDM and any other data format such as Ethernet, ATM, Fibre Channel or ESCON.

?Scalability - DWDM utilizes "dark fiber" or bandwidth otherwise wasted by Adsl Cable transmission protocols like SONET for an instant boost.

?Dynamic provisioning - Eliminating time slots for data transmission allows for connections to be provided dynamically at a much higher rate. ?Reduced need for regenerators - Transmitting multiple signals over a single fiber decreases the need for additional expensive equipment otherwise needed to re-amplify and de-multiplex signals over multiple fibers.

Four important questions readers should ask themselves:

1. Are Streamyx Bill experiencing bottlenecks in your fiber optic network?

2. Does your network continuously transmit multiple data formats?

3. Are you looking for a simple, yet highly effective technology to gain a competitive edge?

4. What is keeping your business from transitioning to DWDM on the back-haul networks across the enterprise? DWDM technology dramatically increases transmission capacity while simplifying scalability concerns at the same time. The primary requirement is installing higher transmission capacity at one end of the fiber optic cabling.

DWDM drastically reduces signal congestion created by amplifiers and regenerators. High-capacity network transmissions around the business can be conducted without some of this equipment when DWDM is implemented.

DWDM is a smart strategy for a highly optimized optical network. Since the sharing of information is the lifeblood of any business, the network must have the highest level of availability, and downtime must be kept to an absolute minimum.

Backups performed in real-time and decentralized processing are essential to keeping mission-critical applications online, as are parallel processing and a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. The common theme among these best practices is the requirement for a network of the highest quality, efficiency and reliability.

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing is a smart alternative to traditional Time Division Multiplexing. Know what your options are now and consider the benefits as you expand business operations.

i9 3G Review - A Look at the Features and Performance on This 3rd Generation iPhone Clone

I get a lot of emails asking about the quality, the performance, and the features on the CECT isp list cheap internet People want to know if it is worth it to upgrade from i9 to this new version. Or, if they are in the market for a new iPhone clone, they want to know if they should go for the very popular regular version of the i9 or if it's worth it to pay a little more for the 3rd generation model. I'll try to shed some light on this by reviewing the phone in the following article.

The 3G Version IsA Great Phone Because The i9 Is A Great Phone: I guess I didn't build up much mystery here, but the truth is that both of these phones are great. In essence, the 3rd generation version of the phone is basically the i9 with some updates and upgrades. This phone still has dual sim active (you don't have to switch back and forth between the cards) Java support, shake and tilt, and is a quad band. It is still sleek and light. It still has web browsing, Bluetooth, MP3 / MP4, video recorder and web cam, digital camera, FM radio, and e book reader. It has email, MMS, EMS, and SMS.

None of thesepopular features have been taken away. The quality is still really high. The phone is still high performing and functioning. The only real differenceis thechange in appearance and the upgrades, which I will discuss now.

The Rounded Back: Obviously, this phone wants to mimic the iPhone 3G. To that end, the back and corners of this phone have been rounded to give this new sleeker, rounder appearance. If the having the latest look or style is internet telephone to you, you will probably like this very much.

The 16MB Of Memory: The i9 could hold 8GB of memory and this was considered very generous at the time. This new one can now accommodate 16. This comes into play if you download alot of songs, games,or movies.

The Moving, Changing Icons: Probably the biggest difference is that you can now drag and manipulate the icons and that there are now 10 pages of them. You can now use the page turn motion to go through all of your icons like on the iPhone commercials. You can now create shortcuts and / or icons for the features that you use the most and you can move these to the top. Again, this greatly appeals to those who really care about the appearance on the phone.

Colors: Speaking of the appearance of the phone, the housing on this is thicker and sleek / shiny. It's also available in white, red, and sometimes gold.

So, Which Is It?: Which phone is better is going to be an individual decision. The i9 is without a doubt the best selling iPhone clone. Customer satisfaction on it is very high. Many people wouldn't trade it for anything. It's reliable, high functioning, and reasonably priced, but the 3G wasn't available when this phone made it's entrance.

Thenewgenerationmodel seems to appeal to folks who are either buying a new phone or who were going to upgrade anyway. If you were going to get a CECT anyway, it can be appealing to get the latest model, especially since there is not that big of a cost difference.

The Benefits of Blu-Ray in Playstation 3 Games

If you have followed the recent development in the entertainment industry, especially video and games, you then know that times are changing yet once again. There was a time when the latest technology in video was called Beta (Betamax) microsoft windows xp 64 bit was replaced by VHS which in term was upgraded to digital video in the form of DVD. This last format is not only used as a standard by the video industry but by the computer and gaming industry as well.

The main home based internet jobs of DVD over VHS and tapes is that the data can be stored for years without suffering any distortion, the storage capacity is greater and the video quality improved tremendously. When it comes to data storage, DVD discs come in 4.7GB versions for a single layer disc and 9GB for dual layers which increases the amount of data that can be recorded on a single disc.

Current Playstation 3 games use the DVD technology in order to offer better graphics in extremely complex games, however a new format has emerged which is changing the way digital (HD) video and games are recorded. The two formats which are considered the upgrade of DVD discs are HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Companies which manufacture video players and data readers have recently adopted the Blu-Ray format as the new standard.

Blu-Ray offers many benefits over DVD, for instance a dual layer DVD can hold up to 9GB of data, Blu-Ray on the other hand can hold 25GB per layer! that means that a single layer Blu-ray disk can hold almost 3 times more information than the largest DVD disc (9GB dual layer) and the dual layer Blu-Ray disc can hold up to 50GB of information! such numbers are truly impressive for a single disc; but that's not all, Tm Bill new format is truly "future proof" since it has support for multiple layers which can enable a single disk to hold between 100-200GB

So what do these facts and numbers mean to the PS3 gaming community? Simple, if you liked the video resolution in PS3 games which are currently designed and distributed on DVD, then just imagine playing the same game in high definition with improved digital sound and bigger worlds. 50GB discs can improve a game in every aspect as much as 5.5 times and a 200GB disc can hold information for an incredibly huge game which could be as much as 22 times better than the current DVD based PS3 version.

As you see, this type of technology is literally changing the way games are made and movies recorded. Blu-ray technology allows movie makers to include every single detail of their production and still have plenty of space to include extra footage. Game designers and programmers will also enjoy the benefits of having nearly unlimited space with discs which are extremely flexible in terms of storage capacity (25-50-100-200GB) Playstation 3 games and the technology associated with it is relatively new so you can expect future versions to use the Blu-Ray technology to its full capacity in order to deliver HD graphics and take your favorite games to a whole new level.
