Karpal says RM1,000 fine inadequate

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 ?Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh today said internet broadband in RM1,000 fine recommended by streamyx online services parliamentary select committee does not reflect the severity internet franchise the offence committed by the Umno Youth leaders last February.

It does not send the right signal to those who want to come to parliament to intimidate members of parliament,?Karpal told a press conference.

The RM1,000 fine is the maximum allowed under the Houses of Parliament (Powers and Privileges) Act 1952.

It is also boasts the Ditherington Flax Mill, which is acknowledged as the "Grandfather, of the skyscraper", thanks to its iron framed construction.

Also within the industrial revolution, the Shrewsbury Canal and the Shropshire Canal were linked.

The town was recently turned down for city status in 2002.
